I think it's that old bridge under what's now the Colorado Street bridge. These folks are headed to Hollywood for a weekend on the town.
Well, all the good one's are taken. Let me think...I like the La Loma idea. Let's say picnickers on the way to the old Busch Gardens?

Perhaps the bridge at what is now the Langham Hotel (formerly Ritz Carleton) overlooking the pool?
Well, once again I'll have to take 2nd place. So, I'll just say this was when the original Amish & Mennonites -from AltaDena- were testing a bridge prior to it being shipped to the DMZ in Korea.
Mike (Cafe Pasadena) has the wrongest answer but it sure is the funniest!
