Where are we? And what's happening?

The first person to guess correctly will get free admission to LitFest Pasadena this coming Saturday!

I'll have the full scoop on Thursday.

It's probably a first-something. First church, first schoolhouse, first general store...

First train station?

Just in case folks are fooled by your wiliness, PIO, admission to LitFest is free.

Oh, tricksy PIO! I was going to do lots of research for that ticket. It looks like a very early school house. Is it the one that got moved to la Loma Street?

Well, it's obviously looks like early Pasadena in the late 1800s. Dunno those people but I assume it's the residents. So it may be where they live - which in those days could easily be a tent or a barn since not much was built yet! Tracts were probably still be subdivided and bot/sold before they could build houses anyway. And what was built was primarily non-residential bldgs 1st. That's all I have.

Well, it appears that Pasadena hasn't changed much...I bought a house here five years ago, and two homes, (270 and 278 villa) have people living in the garages ... THIS IS ILLEGAL! Yet the code enforcement seems to by pass this by saying they only use them as a television room. Their (the occupants) behavior is obnoxious and dangerous with drug and alcohol abuse....
