It's the first Amgen tour! No, just kidding. I'll have to think about this one. Looks familiar though...

Pasadena was a hotbed of bicycle enthusiasts in the 19th and early 20th century. My guess: Pasadena's bicycle club memebrs gather for their first group ride sometime about 1900. I believe that's the corner of Fair Oaks and Colorado...

It's the Pasadena Motorcycle Club, founded in 1907.

I didn't know there was a Pasadena motorcycle club, but going to their web-site I saw they have the exact same picture. Looks Like ProfJonathan is right! I love these "mystery history" pictures. I learn so much!

I am going to guess that it is January 1, 1900. This is a cycle club meeting to go on the opening day of the Dobbins Cycleway from the north end of Central Park to Glenarm. I don't think the building exists anymore, my guess for the location is a little east of Old Town. In the left corner of the photo is a really tall building behind it. On the right side is a brick building with the letters ASA as in PASADENA. The sky is overcast with virtually no shadows to orient your direction. I have a feeling that we are looking NW though.

oops I was wrong. I found the link to the Pasadena Motor Cycle Club in 1907. I should have read all the comments before I started to figure this out. LOL. Stupid me.

Oh well, de answer is listed here already. Congrats, KB...again!

So, in that case, I'll just say this is one of the early ToR parade entries.

It is not appropriate for you as a city worker to be telling people who comment on your blog to "calm down".

That is not the Pasadena Way.
