Well, I can tell it's in the Arroyo Seco not far from the flood channel, but beyond that, I'm stymied! Can't wait to see what the answer is, Ann; you always teach us something fresh about Pasadena!

When the circus came to town....

Yeah, looks like that bridge now near the Rose Bowl that runs from what is now Parking Lot K. I'm gonna guess this is where they prepared some of the floats for an early Rose Parade.

Actually, the main road, not the little bridge from Parking Lot K.

It looks like Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, but the timing is wrong as that channel was built after the great flood of 1938/9. Hmmmmm....got to think about this.

Where the Rose Bowl parking lots are now. I'm thinking dog show, I'm thinking cat show, I'm thinking...I'm thinking.

Billy Graham is later than the building of the stadium. Could be Aimee Semple McPherson, but even that is a very tiny window.

Others have already identified the location. I'm going to go on a limb and say that it's the assembly point/temporary housing for the Japanese Americans before they were sent to interment camps.

Agree with the Arroyo Seco/Rose Bowl area and I'd guess that these are circus tents. :)

Looks like Circus Vargas in the Arroyo!
