Mulholland and co. planning to buy up Hahamongna to bring water to LA?

(after meeting fierce resistance from the Indiana colony, they headed up to Owens Valley).

Harvey Van Norman, William Mulholland, and Robert L. Daugherty (?) discuss Colorado River Aquaduct.

No matter how rich they were, nothing is worth a life spent in those suits and ties. Probably looked forward to some comfy jammies.

WV: Tiess. They look like they're being strangled.

By the way, that's John Geilgud on the far right. The party in the mustache just told him they're remaking Arthur.

I'll have a more serious attempt this time. This is in Mulholland's later years, so was he looking for a place in Pasadena to build a dam to supplement the Owens Valley water (after all the terrorist attacks from local farmers there?) Perhaps Eaton Canyon or further up the Arroyo Seco? Though it's probably something connected with the Colorado river aqueduct, as Pasadena gets some of the water from it (not for much longer).

Mr. Mulholland saying, "There it is. Take it." After which he went home and put on his jammies.
