Where are we? And what's happening?

The first person to guess correctly will win a fabulous prize!

I'll have the full scoop on Thursday.

The field of the Rose Bowl or at Tournament House and this is part of the Rose Queen selection. Sorry, don't know the year.

I initially thought the same as JM, but have second doubts. There are too many for the standard "Rose Queen and Her Court" (seven in total), and some of the women seem a little older. To show how important winning the prize is to me, I even took a look through some of the past queens and courts on the Tournament's web site! I thought maybe this to be an anniversary with several past queens, but I didn't have much luck.

I'm thinking that there must be something in the question mark, and that there are an even dozen. Beyond that, I have no idea . . .

It has gotta be a Thanksgiving Day question. These women -- scientists, home ec teachers -- could answer any question re: how to cook the perfect turkey?

The cast of the first season of "The Bachelor."

I'm stumped! I went looking, too. Where's Kevin when we need him to make up something outrageous?

It seems to be in the 1920s, and those are very well-dressed, fashionable ladies, but I'm stumped as well, and that's after googling many images. Is it something to do with the start of the YWCA (built in 1921?) or is it a protest about women not being able to attend Caltech, when its predecessor, Throop, was for both sexes? I doubt they'd look so happy if it was a protest. I think you've got us again, Ann.

These are the dozen finalists for the rose court, the question being who from the group will get to wear the crowns. As for where, my guess goes with the Tournement House lawn.

Happy Thanksgiving Ann!
