With the theme “Make a Splash,” there are activities galore through mid-August including water-themed shows, stories, movies and more. Just sign up at any Pasadena public library, where children can pick up free book bags and reading records. They’ll bring in their reading records to earn different prizes every week.
Saturday, June 19 -- And today’s the first day of the free “Make Waves” summer reading program for teens! Whenever they finish a book, magazine, graphic novel or audio book, they’ll fill out an entry form and drop it in a special box at any Pasadena public library to be eligible for prizes during weekly drawings. They can also sign up for teen “camps” where they’ll learn video game animation, robotics, comic book illustration, dry photography, modern dance and more.
