Oh yes, that's Dr. Prankenstein (pronounced Praaah'ken shshshttteen) of Old Pasadena-- the old laboratory under vat is now Stats on Raymond. This is ven he vas verking on his parobolic chamber used in early development of pre-transfer brain scanning. Unfortunately, many heads ver known to roll, in those days, due to the rumbling rattle of the great Santa Fe railroad line running only a few feet avay.

How about this - at some point the Arroyo Seco had a large hydro-electric dam which powered Pasadena.
