That's me on the right, training to fight Bellis for the next fabulous Pasadena commemorative pen.

(Oh,could that bee Bellis on the left?)

I believe this is the way couples used to handle relationship problems in the good old daze - like a man

It's the Pasadena playhouse in 1959. Students are Colin Campbell and Lynn Preston. The instructor is Joseph Vince, if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry about the brevity of my previous post - I've been beaten in the past because of slow writing and I was determined not to do so again. Joseph Vince was a Hungarian-born 1920s US champion in the sabre. He had his own fencing equipment business, and, I presume, was asked to come to the playhouse to give a lesson in stage combat. I don't know what became of the actors. There's a couple of Colin Campbells who've worked in TV and film, but I can't find any other mention of a Lynn Preston.

Karin, you haven't changed a bit. That's definitely me on the far left, crouching down. But all our lessons are probably for naught now Joseph has come along.

certainly looks like my mother, being taught foil magic by the only other man in Pasadena at the time that wore a bow tie OTHER than her father.
